The guest program is for adults and we expect you to behave as such at all times.

This is a working animal and forest rescue/rehabilitation area, not a resort. The drinking of alcoholic beverages should be in moderation and the taking of recreational drugs on site is simply not allowed.

Take care of, and be responsible for, any materials and/or equipment provided for your use.

You are expected to clean up after yourself at all times.

Please show respect for your fellow guests and co-workers. Maintaining a positive group dynamic is very important so that everyone has an enjoyable time.

At all times remember to act and dress accordingly.

Please make the effort to carry out the tasks required of you as best you can.

We reserve the right to ask you to leave the property if:
  • You do anything to harm or cause distress to any animal, including ignoring the “hands-off” policy;
  • You are found using or in possession of illegal substances, or are convicted of a criminal offence during your stay;
  • You exercise poor judgement in your consumption of alcohol;
  • You have acted in such a way that you are likely to bring our organization into disrepute;
  • You are not fulfilling your obligations as a guest;
  • You continually refuse to carry out reasonable requests;
  • You do not follow the rules outlined in the Samboja Lodge Handbook;
  • Your behaviour is causing distress to staff and guests;
  • You have acted with reckless disregard for the safety of staff or guests, or have caused them actual harm.
