Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Center founded by the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) in the year 1999. BOS Nyaru Menteng located in Arboretum Nyaru Menteng, Central Kalimantan, around 30 km of Palangkaraya. At this program, BOS has collaboration with Natural Resource Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Provinsi of Central Kalimantan, Ministry of Forestry.

The main activities of Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Center is quarantine activity, rehabilitate and release. But, practically BOS Nyaru Menteng also conduct faciliting some other activities like rescue and confiscation, which is BKSDA has an authority.

While to support orangutan reintroduction program specially for foods, in year 2002 BOS Nyaru Menteng buy land about 3 hectares in Arboretum back part. The peat farm with deepness between 1-1,5 metre, and suffused by water when the rains. In the year 2004, this area have been planted by many fruit trees. In the border area have been planted by 500 Zalacca. But, supply fruit for orangutans that reach about 1 ton per day, most obtained from Nyaru Menteng societies and Palangka Raya.
